OUR CLIENT

International Nepal Fellowship (INF) is a Christian medical organization that aims to bring sustainable improvements in health and quality of life to people and communities. INF currently has 11 locations throughout Nepal. Their hospital  in Pokhara, Nepal (Green Pastures Hospital) specializes in patients with spinal cord injuries and also provides support by supplying wheelchairs to persons with disabilities.

WHEELCHAIR PROJECT

The wheelchair kits that INF currently uses are expensive, difficult to import, and can be held up at the border for up to 18 months. Replacement parts for imported wheelchairs are nearly impossible to find. INF needs a way to overcome these obstacles in a cost and time efficient manner.

Our team aims to provide International Nepal Fellowship (INF) with a wheelchair design, and manufacturing documentation for it, that can be produced in Nepal by INF staff. The wheelchair must be adjustable to fit specific patients and enable users to engage in their community.

PRONE TROLLEY PROJECT

International Nepal Fellowship, has a few prone trolleys at their Green Pastures Hospital in Pokhara, Nepal. A prone trolley is "bed" on wheels that provides mobility for patients with spinal injuries. INF's current prone trolleys are becoming outdated and hard to maintain. The Nepal Prone Trolley team seeks to partner alongside INF by designing, prototyping and creating manufacturing documentation for a new prone trolley design that is cheaper and more durable than their current options.
