We all got up at 7am and got tea from a street vendor Van Dyke knew from last year. We each had two cups to start out the day. Then we went out to get breakfast and more tea at this small restaurant we visited yesterday. After that, we walked to the Monkey Temple and climbed up the many stairs to get there. Travis got stopped by a local wanting to give us a tour but eventually broke free to head up to the temple. At the top, Travis and I got boba tea and Cai got an ice cream bar. One of the monkeys wandering around at the temple jumped onto Cai's shoulder and grabbed the ice cream out of his hand and ran off with it. After we were done at the temple, we stopped at the knife shop that Jared, who went on this trip last year, told us about. We stopped once more for tea and then back to the hotel for a quick break before lunch at a Newari restaurant. After lunch, we had the rest of the afternoon to shop till 6. We went around practicing our bartering skills and trying to find a shoe store that had Travis' size. Most were way too small. We met back at the hotel for a quick break and then went to a Tibetan restaurant for dinner.

Total counts:

30 tea

2 times Travis hit his head
