Today marked our second workday but, as always, we started it off with a couple cups of tea in the morning. Then we got working on cutting, drilling and welding the prone trolley pieces. We ran into a few issues with the drill bits that required some out-of-the-box solutions. Warped pieces and uneven floors also made it difficult to make straight cuts but we were able to improvise the best we could and then grind excess off so that it was flat. By the end of the day, we had all the major square tubing, angle iron, and sheet metal pieces cut for the prone trolley. We had even gotten some welding done, too! But since the drilling process was taking longer than expected, we started cutting pieces for the wheelchair while we waited for the drilled prone trolley pieces to be finished and ready to weld. While most of us worked in the shop, Van Dyke was out shopping for more of the parts for both projects. Almost everything was found as expected but the bike wheels we usually bought had changed slightly and we still need to figure out how we're going to use and revise our original plan to adapt to that. We wrapped up our work for the day and headed up to dinner at the hospital and then walked around Pokarah to find a dessert place. On our way back from that, we stopped by the barber shop where Blake and Cai got haircuts. Cai chose one from pictures that they had there but Blake, through Van Dyke's translation, just asked the guy to make him "handsome handsome" to see what he did. We took some before and after pictures for their haircuts and then headed to bed for the day.
